Dr Honeyeh Ramezansefat

Dr. Honeyeh Ramezansefat is Associate Lecturer at Northumbria University, Mechanical and Construction Engineering Department, and at Newcastle University, Geotechnical and Structural Engineering group. Prior she joined the University of Leeds as a Post-doctoral Research Associate working in the formulation of reuse operations for steel modular building systems.

Her expertise is in the development of integrated Machine Learning/Finite Element modelling technique using Python programming language and ABAQUS, with the aim of overcoming the limitations of traditional FE modelling to capture complex deterioration mechanisms of structural elements exposed to high strain rate loading.

She also has experience on the development of novel analytical models, with a design framework, based on the flexibility (force) method to predict the simultaneous flexural and shear deflections of statically determinate and indeterminate reinforced concrete structures, and on developing advanced FE models in ABAQUS to predict the short & long-term behaviours of innovative composite sandwich panels made of glass, carbon fibre and steel fibre reinforced self-compacting micro concrete.
